Im not entirely sure what Molds point was, do you mean that people who don't post regularly may want to bring up slightly older topics to comment on them and that if they have reached page 2 they potentailly have reached their 'peak' and so fewer people will miss out on posting?
I disagree with the whole idea fireborn, if you find something interesting in the past and wish to make a further comment on it or post further information on it, why be restrained from doing it?
I see your point, certain individuals *cough sometimes me included* , drag up a topic from the past merely to post some nonsensical random comment, but i don't see why it makes a hude difference.
I mean, its not as though you are being over-run with old topics being dragged up.
