Re: Vote Nader in '04

I was so close to going off on to another of my autonomistic society views on government and politics in spite of the lack of intellect on Mia's side, however,(luckily for Brimstone) I held off. Rest assured I shan't vote this election nor any others. Call me unpatriotic if you will(or worse names within context) and I will stand by them along with you. I am NOT patriotic, I do NOT love this country, and if it were my way it would be an autocracy. BTW don't correct me on this definition by saying it is the same thing as Despotism, it also means a government built on autonomy.

P.S. I'm sorry that I posted this here seeing as how Brim and Catbert will probably be the only ones who read this that will know what all these big words mean.

Who was the last president to get elected?

That was Billy Clinton yes?

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Bush was the last president to get elected in 2000. He is going up for Re-election this year. (God forbid)

Bush wasn't elected so much as appointed...that made a mockery of American democracy.

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Please tell me that was a joke about Bush "Stealing" the 2004 election and that you weren't serious about not knowing who the American president is!

Rest assured I shan't vote this election nor any others.

I dn't vote either.  As I've explained many times, it's a pointless waste since the popular vote means very little.

and I will stand by them along with you. I am NOT patriotic, I do NOT love this country, and if it were my way it would be an autocracy.

I hear you loud and clear.  But I don't really think it's the country you hate, so much as the government.  If I'm mistaken on this, let me know.

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Your dead right Brim, its not the actual country. This is a BEAUTIFUL country full of great cities, a unique culture, and vast forests. So it would be the actual government that I dislike extremely. Country is great though, cept for Southern California...damn sun bastard.  big_smile

Re: Vote Nader in '04

My sentiments exactly.  I don't like the government one damn bit.  Hell, I don't hink we need a government at all.  But, I think I've made that clear by now.  If I haven't, I'm going to start posting it more often. wink

Country is great though, cept for Southern California...damn sun bastard.

I'd have to go with most of California on that one.  Not that I expect you to feel the same, of course. big_smile

Hmm... I've heard that argument before.  Do you work for the Kerry campaign?

13

Re: Vote Nader in '04

When you put a Dick and a Bush together, you know somebody's gonna get screwed.

God, I love that saying.

It's okay.  All during the 2000 election, I kept saying "A 'lil Bush, or some big 'ol Gore.  Which would you rather pick?"

I haven't heard of a good one for Kerry yet, but rest assured, I'll start saying it as soon as I do. big_smile

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Bottom line. Politics are boring and overrated. Your country will run the same no matter who is elected. Your president will make all of these vows to "fix" your country and not follow through with them, one of your national landmarks will be destroyed, and then your army will go slaughter thousands of innocent people in some third world country.

God Fuck America!

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Democrats whine? Are you joking, hey I am not a democrat but when one simple man produces a movie bad mouthing the President and every single conservative jumps up yelling and screaming that it is 100% false, in which I found out later through an interview that Michael Moore, with all his lies( HAHA  roll ) has never once been sued or even been seen by an attorney concerning the matters of his supposed "false slander". He also puts all of his facts into the hands of the former chief of counsel and head of fact-checking at the New Yorker. And still you people say its all bullshit, how? I dunno, but you bitch whine and complain NON STOP. So how can you say the democrats whine? And dont give me the Florida re-count thing as one reason cause you know and I know it was fucked. Other than that I see no whining democrats.

Re: Vote Nader in '04

And dont give me the Florida re-count thing as one reason cause you know and I know it was fucked.

Yes.  It was fucked.  It should never have happened.  Liberals just couldn't take losing.

Let's see, if you want to talk about whining, why don't we start with the 2000 election.  Liberals have been whining for four years that Bush stole the election.  Yet, if it were true, he'd be in jail right now.  Yet, they keep whining.

Fox News shows people the other side of political concerns, and they whine about them being "full of shit" and begin claiming that all of the media is controlled by conservatives (which is just plain silly.)

The nation undergoes a tragic time with the 911 attacks, but they whine about Bush not doing anything to stop it.  Then, when they can't prove their claims, they rip into every conservative in Washington and whine when they fight back.

Liberals whine about Bush being responsible for the crappy economy, despite the fact that the economy tanked before he was even elected.  They continue to whine, not taking into account that most of the states that haven't seen any recovery are controlled by liberals, not conservatives.  (I use Illinois as a prime example.)

Liberals whine about Bush not doing anything about healthcare.  However, he instituted the first federally funded prescription drug program ever, which is more than any other president has ever done for the healthcare situation.

They whined about Disney (I believe it was disney) blocking the release of Moore's "film," despite the company's moral objection to his recent work.

Should I go on, or are you done whining? wink

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Oh, one more:

A liberal political talk show on the radio get's bad ratings and can't keep sponsors, and they whine about how the conservatives are plotting against them.

Re: Vote Nader in '04

I remember Nader's Raiders - a consumer's advocacy group in the 70s, he still doing that trip?

Re: Vote Nader in '04

Yup.  He's still the Consumer Watchdog, though I'm not sure if there's still a "Nader's Raiders."
