Well seeing as how I am from California, I thought I might as well take a few minutes to shoot down my pal, the Governators, speech. And away we go.
Speaking of acting, one of my movies was called "True Lies." It's what the Democrats should have called their convention.
And the Republicans make an attempt for a low blow! But seriously this statement was not smart in the least. He is governor of a state which is FAR more Democratic than Republican. The only reason he got elected was cause of a fluke, in which our last Governor wasn't suited for the job, and the other runner's were all worse than Arnold. He can't expect to win again if he keeps throwing statements like these.
My family didn't have a car -- but one day we were in my uncle's car. It was near dark as we came to a Soviet checkpoint. I was a little boy, I wasn't an action hero back then, and I remember how scared I was that the soldiers would pull my father or my uncle out of the car, and I'd never see him again. My family and so many others lived in fear of the Soviet boot. Today, the world no longer fears the Soviet Union and it is because of the United States of America!
Point of reference: We, although stood in the Soveit's way from taking voer many countries, had no direct affect on their fall from power. In essence no empire will last forever and theirs just sorta fell due to that. Instability from within.
I said to my friend, "What party is he?" My friend said, "He's a Republican." I said, "Then I am a Republican!" And I've been a Republican ever since! And trust me, in my wife's family, that's no small achievement! I'm proud to belong to the party of Abraham Lincoln, the party of Teddy Roosevelt, the party of Ronald Reagan and the party of George W. Bush.
This is mainly aimed towards the Abraham Lincoln statement. I am not sure how long ago, but at some point in the mid 1800's the Republican party back then WAS the Democratic party. So I am not entirely sure if he is the kind of Republican they actually wanted in that speech, or maybe he was just using him simply cause it said Republican despite its actual meaning.
If you believe that government should be accountable to the people, not the people to the government...then you are a Republican! If you believe a person should be treated as an individual, not as a member of an interest group... then you are a Republican! If you believe your family knows how to spend your money better than the government does... then you are a Republican! If you believe our educational system should be held accountable for the progress of our children ... then you are a Republican! If you believe this country, not the United Nations, is the best hope of democracy in the world ... then you are a Republican! And, ladies and gentlemen ...if you believe we must be fierce and relentless and terminate terrorism ... then you are a Republican!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA...oh that was great. Basically he is saying the Democrats are all that is not posted here. I particularly liked the one about the U.N. Typical go-it alone attitude in the world and fuck everybody else over.
We move prosperity ahead. We move freedom ahead. We move people ahead. Under President Bush, and Vice President Cheney, America's economy is moving ahead in spite of a recession they inherited and in spite of the attack on our homeland.
Another FUN FACT by Gothic : Actually currect economists show that in mid 2001 out unemployment was just below 5%(which is REALLY good if you know your economy) and then with the coming election is rose to about 8%. This, it is figured, wasn't due to any of the actual standing parties but rather all the rapid attention around the coming election. However 4 years should have been enough to stabilize this, so Bush and the Republicans can't really say they inherited it and promise it will be gone if they get re-elected if they couldn't see fit to do it the first time.
The President didn't go into Iraq because the polls told him it was popular. As a matter of fact, the polls said just the opposite. But leadership isn't about polls. It's about making decisions you think are right and then standing behind those decisions. That's why America is safer with George W. Bush as President.
Actually AMERICAN Leadership is. We don't elect people so they can get into power and do whatever the FUCK they please. We elect em in the interest that they will do what the majority of US think is right. Did he do that? NO! He took advantage of the power WE gave him and did what WE didn't want him to do. I am sorry but that sounds a bit more like a Dictatorship rather than a Democracy.
When that lone, young Chinese man stood in front of those tanks in Tiananmen Square America's hopes stood with him.
Thats such a complete load of bullshit. Typical Americans, something happens that is great in the eyes of the world and all of a sudden: We were with him in Spirit!!. Please we are on the side of whoever wins so WE look good. That student risked everything to do what he did so shame on us when we try to jump in and snag a bit of his credit. You know what we were looking for during that time? We weren't hoping for him. No. We were hoping for increased trade with China. We were hoping for more money.
