I just saw the repeat of Bush's speech. Definitely the best speech of the convention (even worthy of a higher platform! ) The one thing that troubled me, though, is when Bush said something like "Some people have even called me blunt. We have the grey haired lady sitting over there to thank for that" (speaking of course about his mother) and the camera that was on him cut away to a shot of Condoleza Rice.
It was a bit disturbing, if not extremely funny.

I don't think the President of the United States of America would use such extravagant and dimwitted words in a speech of his. Wait . . . what the hell am I talking about.

No I havent formulated my debate against him yet. You'll hear from me in a couple days about his actual speech, however, as I must repeat myself 2-3 as usual. He is the first President to do so. No other President in the HISTORY of the United States has felt they needed to be raised above the rest. And honestly you can think whatever the hell you want, cause its obvious by your last statement you are pretty insulted by what I have said.
-note- It must be added that I am extremely aggitated at the republicans because they have sent over 10 mails asking my mother for more money, begging, pleaing for every cent they can scramble. Not even the Democrats do this, and now I see how my mother's money is spent. They make me sick.

FACT: This is mainly aimed towards the Abraham Lincoln statement. I am not sure how long ago, but at some point in the mid 1800's the Republican party back then WAS the Democratic party. So I am not entirely sure if he is the kind of Republican they actually wanted in that speech, or maybe he was just using him simply cause it said Republican despite its actual meaning.
FACT: Actually currect economists show that in mid 2001 out unemployment was just below 5%(which is REALLY good if you know your economy) and then with the coming election is rose to about 8%. This, it is figured, wasn't due to any of the actual standing parties but rather all the rapid attention around the coming election. However 4 years should have been enough to stabilize this.
FACT: Actually AMERICAN Leadership is. We don't elect people so they can get into power and do whatever the FUCK they please. Though Communism is inherrently flawed, we did affect the downfall of Soviet Russia directly. If it weren't for us, they wouldn't have spent so much money competing during the space-race, or the nuclear arms race, and it would have taken them a lot longer to go bankrupt.

You are correct on this. However, the ideology of the "democratic" party back then was more closely related to that of the republican party today. Actually, back then, both parties were more closely related to today's republican party. Food for thought.

Really? Polls show that the majority of us think that abortion is wrong. And yet, no one has outlawed abortion. This is a REPUBLIC. We don't elect people to do what we want them to do, that's part of a democracy. We elect people whom we believe have a like-minded attitude as us towards certain issues, and will do what we would do in their position.
