Re: George W. Bush

I would also like to say though Brim.. I had to do a report on Lincoln my Senior year.. He was a fairly conservative president.. He would in no way today be considered a Moderate, however he isnt Bush or Reagan Conservative..

Re: George W. Bush

Though Communism is inherrently flawed, we did affect the downfall of Soviet Russia directly. If it weren't for us, they wouldn't have spent so much money competing during the space-race, or the nuclear arms race, and it would have taken them a lot longer to go bankrupt.

Thats what I am saying, We stood in their way but we had no direct method of bringing their communist regime down, It was simply instability from within.

You are correct on this. However, the ideology of the "democratic" party back then was more closely related to that of the republican party today. Actually, back then, both parties were more closely related to today's republican party. Food for thought.

I'm sorry but I see Abraham Lincoln, and Teddy Roosevelt as being FAR more like the democrats today than the republicans today, based on their actions.

It is stabilized (more or less). The current unemployment rate is 5.4%. This was reported about 6 hours ago by CBS News.

My statement about the economy was in retaliation to Anrold saying that Bush inherited a bad economy due to Clinton's presidency, which as I stated current economists say that niether Clinton, nor Bush, had any affect on it but rather it was just the election itself.

Btw a good economy is one that is stated to have less than 5% unemployment rate. So ours right now still wouldnt be considered good in the eyes of most economists.

My reply to W's speech is taking longer than anticipated, and I grow tired.

I will rest and probably finish the reply to it sometime tonight.

To quote myself: In reality of seeing how the parties were 150 eyars ago and how the Democrats and Republicans are today, they really are not that different in comparison.

Re: George W. Bush

btw.. the recession in our Economy, is said by economists to have started in January - March of 2001... NO WAY can you blame that on Bush figuring he hadnt even been in office for much more than a month at the most.
