Its funny you should mention being so little worked on, as faldon is being worked on more now than at any point since this client went public.

You might get farther in your gm quest if you weren't constantly being a back-biter and/or stopped making stuff up. Case in point, you seem to be tryng to spread the perception that faldon essentially ripped off code and art from... who knows where. We both know thats flat out not true, everything in faldon is 100% original.

If faldon is dead then why are there still plenty of people playing and why are we working on new functionality for the current client? Are we developing another game at the same time? Possibly. If so that's going to balance out to the tune of 5 megabits, which we are in the process or ordering (colocated, easy upgrade). If we do debut another game will the same C buy access to both? Probably. Will any new game be pay only? Almost certainly.  Is Faldon "dead"? Hardly.

Sorry, the sky isn't falling, as much as some people would like to believe it.

I have to agree with James on this one.  Honestly your working on Faldon and this 'other game' at the same time? That's gotta show your either doing little for Faldon or the new game is just going to be crap.  Whats the point of a new game if you don't even update the old one?

If your updating stuff or whatnot show it like James said.  And would it honestly be so damn hard to just set a spawn for the monsters and make all the items droppable?  Thatd help this game so damn much.

Also you need active GM's/M's, all the current ones are gone, you dont see them anymore, except for the occasional Crovax(i know hes busy with school) and theres Zoluk who does his share and Master_Wu whos back but completely lost.  Everytime you make someone a M or GM they always quit cuz they arent really all that devoted to the game in the first place, most would just like power.  I'm quite sure there are much better players who have been around for a long time and deserve to be an M or GM.  Someone whos stuck with Faldon through all the crap its gone through....n yea I dunno what to say anymore I'll post more later.

Read the above, and yes, M's and GM's like everyone else, were players  who have friends and favorite people... don't lie because you wuouldn't boot/mute/skill reset your best friend will you? I would, I have taken their items from their account until they smartened up when they were acting foolish, it worked too.

You are also a rather new player compared to most, and from what I remember from your char you were nothing more than an annoyance, attacking people while using the spawn bug.   Unless you gave your character away. You cursed everyone up and down, threatened, cheated and stole. And don't deny it because I hear it everyday from the older members who are furious that all these newer players got powers over them where they deserve it and had put their honest time into this game and their MONEY....

You don't think other people have suggested all these "new" ideas to everyone else before? most people gave up, christ read the suggestion board or some other posts.

I suppose the game is now more dominant to certain timezones as on american/canadian timezones there is NO M or GM ever on anymore so it just seems fair that there only be help, wars, items given out etc.. on other time zones,  if that keeps up I'm sorry but its mostly american/canadian people paying the money for the game, popularity in the other timezones doesnt mean crap because most of the other timezone Citizens get their C accounts from americans, and what happens when the americans gets upset? they quit, and when they quit who is going to pay C?
there should be M's and GM's in all timezones, because sometimes( no EVERYTIME) I logon, before or after work, and the game is FULL of macroers, they just never seem to be punished... is there any special reason? they are usually higher lvl players with friends of people but if things were fair ......

Yet again as for my quest for GM apparently it works on the # of votes from other M's and GM's, up until now i have talked to each individually and all said they would support me, but after this i odubt it, most peopel cannot take constructive critisism so it usually turns out a bad way, If they just realised I wanted the game just to be fair to everyone regardless of who, and the game to improve from time to time.
But now after this post I know things will change because I meantioned "certain timezones".  So I don't see anyone being chosen who has been around awhile, being on canadian/american timezone on a regular basis, someone who actually has/deserves respect from players, someone who will be fair and someone capable to do the job if allowed.

However, special treatment?  I am a popular
player, and my treatment seems to be reversed.
I was "Macroing" and got jailed twice for it, not
only was I jailed twice, I lost 200 skill points.
I was not even AFK. I was in the opinion of the
people who "caught" me using a macro to respond
to them, and it wasnt me... So for a first offense
even, I should not lose anything, yet I lost MANY
points, including my Wiz... which was 140... and
was brought down to the point where I fizzled EBOLT...
And I was there... Yeah.. I guess thats a kind of
special treatment... I have played for years, and
have NEVER been caught macroing, because I
NEVER macro. Lothar has 2 jailings. One from a
GM doing an event, I cast a spell when I wasnt
supposed to. And one where the jailing was
removed INSTANTLY, because it was a mistake.

Lothar2 has two jailings as well, BOTH from the
time when I was "AFK macroing" even though I
was not...

Another mistreatment upon me, maybe you will
read this Coma. I had my character TAKEN from
me. The account email CHANGED without my
permission. So I started a new char, seeing how
GMS don't care what I have to say... I got him
to 131, and with 140 wiz 130 magery. While legitly
raising skills, they were all dropped. Now I have
had a level 300 char stolen from me and my skills,
this is terrible for a game to be run this way.

Back on topic:

It's true, there are hardly any mods on when I'm around.
Until 12 AM... Sad..  I have wanted a mod title, and even
GM like James has. I have been turned down each time.
Probably because my long lasting show of respect for the
game, and for other players. I have never scammed a
player, macroed or anything... I don't sit in the chat using
fowl language, calling people "Niggers" or anything. I get
along with the dutch, with chinese, etc. Only people I don't
get along with is Faldons Plague, a bunch of players who
base their gaming on RACISM. It seems to me however,
the title goes to the newer players, who have not even had
time to prove themselves. Then another problem, mods quit
and never lose title???? Master_wu has not been an active GM
for about 2+ years AT LEAST, he comes back, and has title
still? If a mod quits, they should lose title.

If you guys ever need an M or GM, I am here. I have proven
trustworthy over the years. I have been programming for
5+ years, and enjoy it very much. I would be more than
willing to map edit/script. Or even just moderate whatever
you need me to do... Until then, good luck with picking
people that you don't believe just want the power.

PS: James, I do not believe that a new game on the same
server would cause problems. I do not think the problem
with the server is bandwidth. It seems the problem is
the server itself. Too much for it to handle, maybe best
thing to do would be to rewrite it. Possibly in C this time.

It may not be mine. BUT, it was stolen. Stolen due to the
fact that they FAILED to ask me for permission, and thats
horrible for a person running a game no matter how you
look at it.

And you say its good I didnt lose them all? They NEVER
reset all skills. Skills are only to be reset at all after 5
jailings, and I was told, only 50%. I WAS NOT AFK.
Did not macro, and still, lost skills, on what would have
been my first offense. I am not saying I want Lothar back
I'm saying it was wrong to have been taken...

James, I feel ya man...I think you have best expressed/described important points regarding Faldon and you know I agree with most.

Thats fine, and as i stated before whoever had your char about 2 years ago was an ass, they would spawn clit and mouth off, steady.  I'm not the only one who remembers, if it was the person who stole it fine, it was that person. I never said it was you i said it was whoever owned the char at the time, you seem to be doing a very good job as a moderator now though, other than admitting you hand out special treatment because of your past with people.  And if you mean it as they were once bad and now good that you cna't hold that against them then your wrong, im being held accountable for my past 4 years ago by coma, he has teh idea that people don't change, so he keeps an eye out, you know the high level people still macro and cheat.

regardless it makes no difference, nothing is going to change yet again i waste my time.

coma, faldon is not 100% original, some aspects in this game are so much alike diablo im surprised you havent been sued yet..

and faldon needs working on, gms very rarely log and and hen they do they dont do that much, i think its time for a new gm that is goona work on the new map this game was promised to us to be up around september its now november and still no news on how close it is to be finishing.

well not like peopel capable to HELP this game out haven't offered their assistance or anything.  I just don't think coma or zer want anything done with the game as they keep picking people who die off or just have no skills. so as far as im concerned im no longer offering my services, they will have to ask me because as far as im concerned its a dead end until they make the step to prove otherwise.
