Topic: Trivia tomorrow

To like, celebrate Harry Potter 6 and stuff, I'll be holding trivia tomorrow. Now listen up:

There will be 7 rounds of mini-trivia (first to 3 wins). Each round will have it's own topic. The winner of the most rounds, wins the big prize. If after 7 rounds 2 players are tied in number of rounds won, there will be an extra round between those tied for the prize. The 8 topics on which the rounds will be based are:

Anime
Science
History
Sports
Politics
General Faldon Knowledge
Harry Potter
Culture & Literature


Mind you, sports can mean both questions about for example baseball, and soccer. Politics could contain questions concerning African wars, American policies or the European Union. History might ask about World War Two, about the declaration of independence or about the (insane) Roman Emperor Caligula. So you have been warned, dont complain about the context of the questions later on. smile I will tell a few things though:

-Anime will be solely about Japanese animation wink
-General Faldon Knowledge will not ask unreasonably specific things about the previous client. (So it might ask stuff about alst client, but it will be something you could be expected to know without having played it)
-Harry Potter will not include questions about the contents of the 6th book (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prinze) since my sister will be reading our copy before I can get access to it smile
-Culture & Literature is the extra topic in case a tie calls for an 8th round.


Now for the prize... well, what should it be?

How about one of them Necromancer hats, 50k exp and a guardian talisman. Is that to anyone's fancy? (Pre/suf would depend on my mood and on the number of contestants)

PS. I will probably host it somewhere between 9 and 12 PM my time. That means between 3 and 6 PM EST. I'm not making any guarantees though...

PPS. There will be mini-prizes for the winner of each round. So please be there and participate, one of the topics may suit your expertise, or you could jsut get lucky! smile

PPPS. If there are enough participants, maybe Ill reward your activity with a war after the trivia?  8)

you could just have the winner choose what they like, that has a value worth of like 2 million gp

without having GP as the prize cause gms are trying to get rid of it

Having discussed some of the questions with Crov, they are super easy and you should be ashamed if you don't know them.  On the other hand, study up your Physics knowledge for his science section.

Well, there was a decent amount of people. Link bit the dust against Djm in the General Faldon Knowledge round (of all rounds!) because he has forgotten the virtues of being a newbie.

Everyone congratulate Djm when you see him! (Or stare in awe of his quite rare Necromancer hat which he is probably showing off on his character 'Djm the Mage' by now.

I hope you all had fun! Maybe next weekend we'll do a team deathmatch game (like War) where you have more than 1 death! (I'll have to see how possible this is)

Uhm, among others things +20 magic, +20 int, -10 str, -10 str and prolly blocks a bit and does some + and - to resists.
