Re: looking for a sound editor

I once found a virtual synthesiser, but it was a long time ago and I don't recall the name.  :

As for wav editors, try checking Tucows.  I'm sure they have a sound editor section.  It's also been years since I did anything with Wav editors, but at the time Gold Wave was a decent editor.

Re: looking for a sound editor

Are you looking for an 'editor' or 'creator'? If you want something to
make music:

That works quite nicely.

A creator but I could try also out some programs and see if I can get the sounds I want.

reason producing software rocks ...

Re: looking for a sound editor

The best sound editor is FruityLoops..  http://www.flstudio.com/

Free demo, you can do everything except save and edit later.

Re: looking for a sound editor

fruity loops isn't as much a sound creator as a loop-based beat generator.....i only use it every now and again for more electronic beats or if i want to make something really quick......really huge tornado is correct, i find reason to be like ten times better than fruity loops in almost every aspect....

sound force is specifically made for creating and editing sound....i ussually will run my tracks from adobe audition or n-tracks into soundforge for the mastering, just because 1. it's really easy to use and 2. because i can use all the vst plugins and sony gives you some decent after effects to play with......but i have also used it for recording sound effects for this game i've been dabbling with making for a couple of friends..
