Topic: U.S. College Students

Well im looking at doing my first semester of my 3rd year in the U.S.

This being the start of 2006.

Im trying to find out what sorta costs im gonna be up for and what sorta time it will take.

Some info im after is umm Dorm info/price

How easy is it for students to get part-time jobs that fit around their study hours.

How many hours work approx would be needed per week to afford living expenses.

What are the college women like..... tongue

hmm thats all i can think of so far...Oh and what State you reckon i should look at..(I.T.)

Ive got a family friend in Alabama that can get me a Shoe-in there but i dunno if i wanna live in alabama  :?

Thanks in advance

I'm opening up a shop that sells 13" rulers just so Fireborn stops complaining.

Say no to the south, it's a cockroach infested hellhole involved in the most severe niggerdom I've seen apart from Africa.

Modern cyberspace is a deadly festering swamp, teeming with dangerous programs such as''licensed Microsoft software'' that can take over your computer and render it useless.

Alabama wouldn't be so bad. I suggest sticking to the smaller states,
stay away from CA, NY, IL (Chicago) The bigger cities/states are going
to run you quite a bit. Here in CA a studio apartment (No bedroom) will
cost you like 600 alone. I would suggest getting a loan, though I don't
know that you can being an out of country person. As for cost that
really depends. If you do not live in the state that you plan to attend
for at least one year prior to registration, you will be charged more.
However, certain people coming to the country from certain places
are given breaks, as they need the mixed culture. I however believe
that since you are white (Australia right?) you will get no such break.
Jobs are easy most every school has jobs open for the students.

Re: U.S. College Students

Dont worry about where you want to go, find a college that specifies in your area of study and try your best to get into it. Believe me, you don't want a half-assed education from some school that specifies in math and you went there to get a History degree. Come up with a list of schools in the U.S. that specialize in what you want and then we can help you quite a bit more.
