man, you guys are all about the euro metal....
When I was in NZ I bought something like 12 new albums You'll be pleased to know that none of them were Black metal,XTTZ, unless you count Belphegor :? they are more death metal now though. Get Blutsabbath, The Last Supper and maybe Necrodaemon Terrorsathan if you're that into black metal.
*edit* you probably have all of this anyway... pfft..

I have all Belphegor's albums in MP3 format. My local CD shop doesn't sell much underground stuff at all so I can't find any there. I plan on going to the city in 2 months or so and use all my money on CDs, maybe I'll pick one up there. 8)

Norwegian black metal for the win.

What the hell? I remember you telling me on MSN how much you thought Soilwork sucked but now you bought their CD?
I bought it to see if this one sucked too.
Why didn't you just download it?
Yay, Penny, glad to hear you got the album. Grayson and I were discussing the DCFC CD, I haven't yet gone out and gotten it and probably should. Sadly school overrules music and the money to shell out for a CD is less important than a stack of 3 ring binders
I know this is not that recent.. but ah well, who cares. I was recommending Thriller by M.J. in here the other day.
Im listening to Oasis (Whats the story morning glory)
Obviously a good album, wonderwall, dont look back in anger, champagne supernova etc.
So a bunch of funny words I've never heard makes an album good. Gotcha'.
LoL. You don't know what 'don't', 'look', 'back', 'in', 'anger', 'champagne' or 'supernova' means?
No.
I'm recommending:
50 Cent - Massacre
Britney Spears - Oops I did it Again.
MY RECCOMENDATION FOR NEVER. LOLZ AI MADE FUNY J/K KEKE ORANGE BALL DWOP GAY.
Yeah, that's a great album. Britney Spears has to be one of the most musically intelligent and talented people in the music industry. That album is the utter genius that is Britney Spears, in album form.
You said it brother 8)
Satyricon - Volcano
I lyk angstridden and fewl for haytred
What about... the essential death metal album : Cryptopsy - None so vile!
I suggest Kiss Alive or Alive II as essential rock 'n roll listening.
I'd like to add 'Agalloch - Pale Folklore' as well.
How bout JPop FTP you promised me Pennywise? ;-)
Oh and uhm.. Grayson. Suggest an album for me to download/listen to and I will, k? =p
Im pretty sure that anything you listen to frequently or currently is something ive never heard.. well kinda.
Lol ^

Like Caff mentioned I bought the Death Cab For Cutie album. I don't like it as much as The Photo Album or We Have The Facts . . ., but it's really good. Walla's producing is nop-notch once again, and Gibbard's song writing is hardly ever a let-down. Some of the best songs he's written are on Plans.
ALSO, like Penny, I bought the New Pornographers new album, which was definitely a smart purchase. If you like noisy power-pop done right, I'd reccomend this. But judging from your Oasis comment, I'm guessing Death Cab is better suited for you.
I'm probably into the band Okkervil River more than anyone else right now. Their records are amazing to me, and after seeing them live I always go through this linstening-binge with them. I wouldn't reccomend them to anyone here besides Caff and Penny, though.
I bought the new Devendra Banhart album Cripple Crow, and it's his best release to date. Crov, check this out if you like more acoustic-driven folk music. He's part of this new folk scene from San Fransisco, which was being described as "freefolk" and now as "freak folk" because everyone's so damn strange.. I guess? Anyway- good album.
Also I don't know if anyone else has heard the new Iron & Wine and Calexico effort, but it's really good. I hope these two work together more in the future.
