Oh yea, the time I fell asleep at keyboard.

Something like macroer-checks was unheard of back then. =p

My zerk went up a whole 0.01 ;p (My macro wasnt set up for afk-macroing, just for making it more comfortable to raise skill whilst chatting, still needed some action on my part though, so it didnt do much work after I fell asleep)

Loki was one of the highest ranking officers of Gnomerstone before he finally quit, Crov.

I think the real moral of the story here is that Gnomerstone was an empire the likes of which will never again be seen in Faldon.

Just doubting whether the guy talking on the forums here is him. Since as I said, I doubt he'd remember me judging from how most of him I saw was whilst I was really really new. As such, doubt he'd remember me. Of course, Id doubt the validity of his 'memory' anyway as earlier stated with regards to the macroing spells. Unless you could confirm perhaps? (Guess it could be he was still was active when I became somewhat known if he used some other name) Oh well.

Also, you think the moral of EVERY story is that Gnomerstone owns all. =p

Well, my first post on this forum in I don't even know how long... But I started playing about a week before church ended, all of first and second desert, stopped during beta because I was poor, and whether anyone realises it or not I still exist today... For the most part anyway...

Hell, back then I didnt even have a macro-clicker.

You didn't need one. my mouse from my old computer still has a sticky button from where i would tape down my mouse button

I used a box (for holding Magic:TG cards) resting one end on the table, one end on the right mouse button for that. But that only worked whilst hitting someone/something. And well... a def char would have a lot more issues having spells cast on him than being hit. (except for spells such as heal I suppose)

There was also holding down space-bar I believe, but one needed an even older client.exe or something for that. Ah well.

Anyhow, I did use that a lot last client. That's how I was royal Swordsman on Raphael. I didnt do it afk afaik though. One thing Im trying to remember now is, when hitting a def char you needed to move... I think... but was it so zerk kept raising (hitting whilst zerked had nothing to do with raising zerk skill, it was a raise on use skill) or so fencing kept raising? ^_^

And forget demotion to M FB, I oughta be banned for life.

Hmm, if it wasnt Crovax, then it was someone whos name looked like 'Crovax', what I remember of it, was the endless piles of items he had around him.. confirming the fact that he obviously wasnt there at the keyboard to pick things up.

I played the very end of the client I sucked hehe I remember exploring and wandering out into a PK zone and that fucker 69 killed me... When I found out he played this client I killed him over and over again for that shit!

I have just salvaged my old HD. It has quite a nice amount of desert client screenshots.

If anyone is interested in seeing them, perhaps Ill bother mass-exporting them to jpeg and placing them online.

Got lots of SS'es with Shad and with Brian, yay. Also a screenshot showing Niko hailing me as Crovmon, which is the direct cause for my adapting Crovmon as an alternate name when Crovax is taken. And one of me Justice, talking some... Also a few showing my English/typing was actually pretty pathetic when I was 14. ^_^

(Amazingly I found no viruses on the HD, though I had run that system for 3,5 years without a virusscan as a teenager, and it was the first PC I ever used to access the internet with)
