Faldon has been dying for over a year, skawn. Notice that only about 100-120 people still play, and only 40-50 at once at highest point in the day.

I would just like to state for the record that I remember months when the average number of users logged on at any one time was 5.

And, yes, the game started with many players, then it declined a little, then more users joined and several old players came back, and then the game got fucked and tons of people left, leaving 10-20 people on at a time, and then some of the people came back, giving the 50 or so on daily now. Not a very good way to keep a game running, because eventually the people won't come back.

i remember for like a year when 15 people came on everyone was like woah whats happening someone giving away free items?? i dont get it.
especially wehn the free item was like a full plate with 1/4 its original durability.

Wanna bet.....I can garuantee many online games (think WoW and Guild Wars to name just 2) came out with many many players to start with.

If you are the Alex I think you are (held the char Rauru for awhile, when I hated you the most), then I can understand how you did not understand what I said 
. If you are not, then I'll explain to you what I meant; and that is that some words are LARGER than other words in a sentence. "declined" for example, is larger than the word "it". If you did not understand that, I am assuming you just don't know what the word skim means. When you read through a few sentences or paragraphs extremely fast, only seeing a few words in each sentence, usually the LARGER words, you are skimming.
Did you really expect me to put a word, such as antidisestablishmentarianism or pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis in the sentence? Of course, those would not even fit, though, seeing that what I was saying had nothing to do with the disestablishment of the church of England or a lung disease caused by inhaling microscopic bits of silicon...

This game still isn't very accessible to new and casual players...........it never really has been, which is why you generally see the same players. The reason for the larger number of players, from what I've seen, can be mostly attributed to the increase of older players rep cheating alt chars or double logging to raise skills. I would say less than 5% of new players who start actually make it to level 100. Even then, it's safe to say, a portion of those players end up having to buy their way into the ecconomy with USD. I guess as far as video games go, it's cool that more high level content has been added, but that still doesn't take away from the mind numbingly boring expirience of having to gain that first 100 levels or so while avoiding the endless harrassment from other players because nobody has come up with a means of distancing high levels from low levels.....Something that is common in just about every other mmorpg I've seen.
