Faldon is/was/shall be the biggest flop in online gaming history.
Yes, I know, Runescape blows, but people play it. Faldon has no advertising that I know of. Expose the game if you want it to succeed, damnit.

Faldon is far from a flop. The game has a strong and fairly long history, and still constant customer flow for a game with so little advertising.

yes, but it is dying for christ's sake. I mean, spread the word a bit, show some people what faldon is about. I talk to other folks about online gaming, and no one knows what faldon is.

I'm yet to see any advertisement for Runescape.....ever.
The fact of the matter is....Faldon is a project love child of Zer and i dont believe he is interested in expanding it too much.
At the moment the money from C coming in is covering server cost etc...and the game is $0 in maintenance and he can spend as much or as little amount of time on it as he wishes...when he wishes.
There are not a great lack of people coming to the game...there is a great lack of people STAYING with the game. I think a high number of people that are long time players...play solely for the social aspect of the game rather than the actual quality of gameplay.

Server cost is minimal and the game easily pays for itself and plus some with C and stat resets. This game has EASILY made more money than I have off the game.. I made close to 2,500 USD. Yes I said USD.. so kill me..

Actually man.. Do you know what Crov does? I have no clue why.. but When people buy stat resets and C with Paypal.. He ends up sending the FULL $2.50 and $15 to Coma.. He is spending his OWN money to make sure Coma doesn't get ripped off..
If I would ever buy C off Crov I would send him extra money to cover the transaction fee Paypal takes out of it...

I'm going to have to agree with Skawn- Faldon is great in it's own way, and to add to that it is improving at a very, very slow rate.
If the original makers of this game had the time and money, I could see this game being the next Diablo or something like it(But I'm sure that's not the goal). All we need is a better server (the current one is decent) and better graphics, better graphics/flashy effects would attract more fans. Along with this, a nice story line would give the game something else to play it for. How hard is it to write a clichique medieval epic story anyways? It's not hard at all, infact I'm sure that 90% of the players alone could create a nice story line, quest ideas and such. I think newer art would benefit the game as well, GM's need to expand there as well, example- horned helmets for bezerkers, better "assassin" weapons that would match the power of a cm or flail with AR or just damage, newer spells that would include something like "haste" from those other generic medieval games- this is probably the only example that would be reasonable, being that we have slow currently...
Anyways what's this I always hear about the 2nd client, someone tell me about it, I'm completely ignorant to the whole idea of it.
But all in all, this current game could be phenominal, for now I'll just agree with Skawn and call it great- I enjoy playing this game despite how ownable I am to other players

Actually skawn said quite the opposite, I just changed a couple words.
And the next client wont be the second but more like the third. People will argue this with me I am sure.. But I think as far as actual new clients.. it is the third. Zer is working on it, when it will be, nobody knows. Changes coming are not quite sure.. Guess we have to wait for it to get closer to finish to really know what will happen.

Faldon Graphics are fine when compared to a lot of other games. Maybe not compared to the Million Dollar games...but why would u even try and compare them. As i keep saying..if a game like Tibia can atttract a few hundred thousand players...then Faldon's graphics are not the killer.
I believe Faldons Wound is its lack of Content. It is simply Level-Level-Level.
There are no classes bar Warrior or Mage...
The highest lvl legit sword can be bought from an NPC
Drop rates are so ridiculously low that no-one even bothers.
There are maybe 2 good quests worth doing.
The general fact of the matter is that by about lvl100 you have reached the Peak of what Faldon can Offer you...anything after that and its just counting away the time.
