which Crov seemed unimpressed by, but I can't just forfeit everything in my life to dedicate it to school Crov..
Don't get me wrong, it's very admirable and impressive. And forfeiting the important social and cultural aspects of college life that come alongside studies would be a very bad idea indeed. (Though I do not reckon you are in any danger of becomign such, it just wouldn't do to grow solely in knowledge and academics.)
As for drinking problems... a LOT of students are technically alcoholics... ^_^ (And there's quite some caffeine-addicts too)
At least you seem to recognize/acknowledge yourself that it is a bit over the top. Try working on that... can't say much more since I've never really been addicted to anything. (Dont smoke, drink wine (sometimes beer) in moderation, only drink coffee in the exams-week.)
As for women, I'm not gonna be getting any anytime soon, so no point wasting too much thought on that. -_- As for platonic gay-relationships... doesn't sound too bad, I can somewhat understand/imagine how someone would prefer spending time/living with a guy whilst still turning to the female body for alleviating his carnal desires.
