holy smacks, i started playing this game 4 months before the last client went to hell (that was a fun event type thing) so that was 6years?
but i havnt played for a year and a half. reDLing the game now

Wow... cant belive this game is still around. Its been a long time since Iv played, started on church map, but its nice to see its still here.
Was sitting in class bored and figured id see if it was still around, found the message boards, and coudnt miss this thread. I still stumble over people from Faldon every so often, so figured may as well drop by and say hi:)

Just thought I'd drop in and pay homage to an old game I use to play. I played Faldon back in 1997, back when it was still desert themed. But I only played for about 3 years.
I even made a 3d replica of it:

Haha comit, that is sweet.
In a few months there will be a new map released to the general Faldon public. =P
It'll be a desert map, and there might be some stuff there that'll interest you.

That screenshot brings back memories. Though that building to the left of "town square" was added in the ladder days of the desert era. It had some really confusing goofy building before, which was equally as confusing to recreate in 3d o_O

Was just an old 2000 project, but its still around. If you have AW (you can enter for free, just not build) and wanna see the village for yourself the coords are AW 1538s 4430e.
Though the whole village was relocated to make room for what's been named "New" Faldon Village ( http://www.swcity.net/temp/faldon_pict3.jpg ).

Yea, when I think of Faldon, desert town comes to mind. I might just have to pay the game another visit when the new map comes out

As awesome as that map is... its way near the end of the desert map...
There used to never be stairs, if you remember. And the best part of the desert map is cut out there! Just around the right hand side, along the wall, was the big PK area. If you wanted a fight, you went there. If you wanted to play the game and run into random players who might want to fight or trade, you basically could go anywhere else ('xempt skel isle).

I have played since the church map i dont know how long that was too long i guess. i have been playing off an on because sometimes i get my computer taken away from my parts for being bad. Sneaking out or what not just being a teenage i guess. But i have many characters. GoldenDragonZ, Wizkid, Solarblade, Darkstar, Subzero, Darkfear and many more. The game has really have evolved since i started playing i remember when bows where the best weapon in the game doing the most dmg and what not. I also remember spells that were discontinued or weaken like fire wall was greatly weaken in the current client. And the removal of summon death was one that kinda made me disappointed. I also play with a char that had the title The Great master baiter hehe i loved that title. I also remember when grandmaster was something to accomplish and royal almost did not exist in the game. A royal anything even stealth was a accomplishment now you see divines every where. I also remember my guild in the first 2 clients which i enjoyed to bad Darkness doesnt play anymore i would be great to have The Heroes of the Realm back. I remember when the server would crash like 2 a day and we would spend most the time in the chat client this game has with my title {HR} hehe i loved it. I also remember mobs and items most the new guys have never even heard of and stuff they wish they could have like my fav from the desert map lost soul items that look like random shit but was all around awesome if you had a set of those you would never need to add to stm again lol.... But here i go rabbling about the old times so im off again working on my char again because i got alot of free time to play now with a computer that cant be taken away by parents anymore im on my own now.

I think the point was that there was no need for all those emoticons not how many there where. Emoticons are generally used to show an emotion not make you look like an arse.
