Re: Peasant Guild

Bible is just a story book kthxbai.

A story book of facts.

No, a story book of contradictions and lies, used by kings to gain followers who thought their causes were just and righteous.

Re: Peasant Guild

Keep it civilized, by now you should've noticed worship seems to apply different criteria when judging things as facts or truth.

"We must face the fact that the preservation of individual freedom is incompatible with a full satisfaction of our views of distributive justice."

Re: Peasant Guild

why should we keep civilized when we cant get away from him trying to impose his belives on us, we should be free from bullshit like that.

In the mean time if he wants to come on a FALDON message board and start talking about fucking god, christians, religion and what not, he has to expect to be abused because we dont want to hear it.

Re: Peasant Guild

It takes (at least) two sides for an argument/conversation God, if you do not wish to talk about it, do not keep replying to it. If others do wish to talk about it, then it shall continue and you should probably do well spending your time in other threads rather than annoying yourself (and others) by stubbornly remaining in the present discussion. ^^

(i.e Noone is forcing you to take part in anything, its like going to a museum and saying: God, these paintings piss me off, I'm gonna mutilate these useless pieces of canvas, it's their fault for me being in their vicinity.)

Re: Peasant Guild

I frequent many forums and it is a common occurrence for people
to discuss their beliefs. It just seems strange that everything is peaceful
when posts bash Christianity and expound upon other religious and
belief views. It is when a Christian defends their faith that people get all bent out of shape. The problem with that is that everyone has the right and obligation to defend their view. I can agree to disagree with everyone
or no one. I encourage dialog because through this dialog we can learn
to respect each other.

I enjoy discussing politics, religion, science and human behavior.

If you read the entire Bible and study it and then you come to me and say that you have issues with A or B, then you have done homework on the issue and  we can have a greater degree of dialog.

The same can be said for science. If I come to you and I discuss any aspect of science, I should at least study it to get a grasp on the topic. Such is the case with DNA.
If anyone brings up a topic and would like to discuss it.
Others may choose to join the discussion.
OR
They may choose to refrain from commenting.

Re: Peasant Guild

You said you play faldon... Then what makes you think you can make people on their forums be civilized. Go try in the game, then when you succeed come back... I have a feeling we won't see you again.

Re: Peasant Guild

Worshiploud, I hate to say this, but haven't you noticed that most 'people'(I use that term loosely) on this board do nothing but talk out of their ass?

Also if you haven't noticed, it is virtually impossible to conduct a decent discussion on here without some asshole(sometimes me) flaming the post.

And to answer the christianity thing, don't you study religion? In the endtimes, the world is supposed to rise up against the christians, and our faith will be disbanded, our people slaughtered, ect., ect.

Just do me a favor- hit them as hard as they hit us.

It is high time I put something intelligent here.

Re: Peasant Guild

I've read some of your earlier posts and i can say this:

Science has said that you can't create something out of nothing.

Energy (nothing) in the right conditions (very extreme conditions) can become mass (something).

144

Re: Peasant Guild

eeehm... dude. You do realize that your reasoning is purely dependent on your labelling energy as 'nothing' and mass as 'something' don't you?

This labelling is at best random and unfounded and at worst, incorrect.'

Nothing
1.  Something that has no existence.

If there is equivalency of mass and energy (as you basically said yourself) then obviously you can't both call energy nothing and mass something.

How about saying it this way: If energy is nothing, then why dont we have an infinite amount of energy?

Anyhow, a photon (massless) can combine with another photon and create subatomic particles (with mass). Would you say photons have no existence?

Re: Peasant Guild

I'll put it in laymans terms for him.

Ok, if electricity is nothing. It sure as hell hurt like fuck when I stuck that fork into the electrical outlet. Nothing must be some painful shit.

Re: Peasant Guild

Energy has no mass, so you could define it as nothing.

148

Re: Peasant Guild

Energy has no mass, so you could define it as nothing.

Could you actually define energy ?

149

Re: Peasant Guild

Could you actually define energy ?

E=MC²

(In 2005, the centennial of Einstein’s great year, a team made the most accurate test yet of his equation. They measured the tiny change in mass of radioactive atoms before and after the atoms emitted gamma-rays. And they measured the energy of the rays. The missing mass times c² equalled the energy of the rays to within 4 hundred-thousandths of one percent.)

"In light of knowledge attained, the happy achievement seems almost a matter of course, and any intelligent student can grasp it without too much trouble. But the years of anxious searching in the dark, with their intense longing, their alterations of confidence and exhaustion and the final emergence into the light -- only those who have experienced it can understand it."

150

Re: Peasant Guild

Energy has no mass, so you could define it as nothing.

Only if you define 'something' as being equal to having the property of mass unequal to 0.

That's using one definition to justify another.. in other words it's just analytical reasoning, and it doesnt even adhere to any standard/generally accepted definitions.

In other words: I could define things that are gaseous as 'nothing' and liquids as 'something'. After making these definitions I could make something out of nothing. (e.g. oxidation of hydrogen gas to produce water) (Obviously I could just change pressure/temperature too, but thats a bit boring, heh.) This is anyhow, pretty much logically equivalent to your statement of energy being nothing, mass being something and as such the possibility of creating something from nothing existing.

In other words, useless.

Science is not gonna help you unless you choose your definitions in a convenient manner and defear the whole purpose of what you were trying to show. Try philosophy though, this might be interesting to read:
