Topic: FOX News & Journalism

Isn't Fox a Entertainment network?  I believe that their News branch is no different.  I'm in the middle of watching the video now, and it does have some truth to it.

I just finished watching this piece, and I think the most important point was stated near the end.  When they fellow say something to the fact of, there is money in it.  Like I said, Fox News is for the entertainment which in turn gives revenue.  I said Good Day, Sir.  Shut Up.

If it were consumed as pure entertainment, rather than as an informational service as well, that'd be fine... but that doesn't seem to be the case. I mean,  that O'Reilly creep isn't far off from being as ridiculous as reporters on The Daily Show, except he's far biased, offensive, judgemental and appears to be serious.

Then again, I've only seen a small non-random selection of his show.

Well, I guess I shouldn't say pure entertainment; but I think that most of there ratings come from the fact that it's not boring to watch.  If I am going to watch a channel to get news on current events, I am pretty sure that I am going to watch CNN or something.  A station that has a reputation of knowledgeable and unbiased topics.  Do you think I'm way off base with the idea that entertainment is a big part of what they are doing?

I never said as much, just that it doesn't clear them of certain charges.

Re: FOX News & Journalism

I stopped watching the news years ago. They're all a bunch of biased assholes, and I never find anything out except that America sucks ass.

It is high time I put something intelligent here.
