For a while we had 'brimstone sucks' on the new desert map. (Mumblee's doing most likely. You prolly remember mumbleeh00 duncha? ;-) ) I think Tim or Kief changed it though.

I vote No.

It's utter garbage.

Brim, everyone quit, it is crap now.  Only people who play are dumb little 8 year olds who spend 5 months to sell an item for 50$ USD.

Game died because of the horrible GMs who took over after Ronnie, Eric, etc all quit their positions, who say that they are making the game "better." - Clear evidence of their success when you log on and find 10 people in the game. (Tim/Lothar is okay I guess as a GM, but his attempts are futile nowadays, while Kief said he was quitting the game before he was even made a moderator, and again before he was made a GM)

Just go look at porn or something, and make better use of your time.

For the record, I didn't "quit", so to speak.  Lothar swore a blood-oath against me and focused all of his energy on stripping me of power, and since he was considerably more active than I was during my academic winter quarter, he was successful in that endeavor.  Thanks for recognizing my efforts, though, it means a lot to me. 

Anyways, Brim, Heroes of the Realm didn't make it past the first desert client, when Darkness and Tru were running it (this is like 6 or 7 years ago, now).  And as Crov pointed out, I put "Brimstone Still Sucks" in cactus on the new desert map as an homage to those days, but another GM apparently didn't catch the reference, and removed it.

I know this is an old thread, but I'd just like to add that Zer hasn't given up on the game.  He is currently in the (long) process of rewriting the client.  And while brimstone sucking was a pertinent issue to Faldon, I feel the bush propaganda would have been far better used as an overall game moral booster or as propaganda scapegoating the foreigners for Faldon's problems.

And for the record if I am part of "etc", I didn't quit so much as I just got sick of the way things were(n't) going on a certain map and a lack of central authority on said map that led to a lot squabbling and a general lack of progress.  Looking back on it, most of it was my fault.  I should probably be considered in the 'horrible GM' category as well

Howdy there Brimstone    Yep, I remember ya, you probably rememebr me form way back in teh day...   I miss them, havent played faldon for a number of years now, it really has gone down the hole.. what I woudl give to have my hands on the server and re-do alot of it and bring it back to what it was... oh well though, hopefully things might get changed around sometime
