Watch these movies if you have ever played these games... fucking hysterical.

It is high time I put something intelligent here.

Re: Angry Nintendo Nerd

I didn't find any of them very funny at all.  With that said, I have only ever played one of those game, Ninja Turtles.  That was one of my favorite games as a kid, and well if me and my brothers got through it without whining, maybe he just shouldn't consider himself such a great gamer in the Nintendo realm.

That game kicked ass.

nice to see you back, jay.

Zerodyme is a ghost. You don't know he's there until he's cut you. As your hands fall off and your torso splits, the last thing you'll think is, "Oh, fuck! Zerodyme was here!"

RIVER CITY RANSOM!!!!  That's my number one pick for NES as a kid.  Teenage years = Final Fantasy saga.  It's funny the NES versions of Final Fantasy that I played were in Japanese but had English right over top of the Japanese.  I don't know much about nintendo game programming, but wouldn't it have been easier to just replace the Japanese instead of putting it over top....hmmph.  Oh well.

Re: Angry Nintendo Nerd

I think I might have played it.  I was pretty young when NES was around, so I don't really remember a lot of the games I plaid.  What was Crystalis about?  If you tell me, maybe that will help me to remember.

Re: Angry Nintendo Nerd

Crytalis is great. It's almost Zelda-esque, but with a level and EXP system. Supposedly the world ends in 1997 and you come back afterwards and you have to save some shit. I can't remember the exact storyline, but it's something similar to that.

I love it when old games and movies say that the world is going to end at a certain date, and you watch or play them now and it's just amusing. Here are some examples.

Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995): Second Impact to happen in 2000 (melting of Antarctica, civil wars, crazy shit)

The End of Evangelion (1997ish): End of world in 2015.

Crystalis (1990): End of world October 1st, 1997

Chrono Trigger (1993): End of world in 1999.

It's just fun to go back and say, "Hey, that never happened." Would've been crazy if it did, though.
