what is with all the new bullSHIT god damn chat filters?  i'm being muted constantly for saying "shit"  what the fuck!?   more then half the PAYING community plays faldon for the freedom it DID provide.   I can understand why you would edit some words...   but shit damn whore... those are all common terms in the game,  for fucks sake damn is in my reputation!  con whores mana whores...  i really don't see any whores playing faldon to get offended by that term either....  my point is... shit whore damn dick cock... those are not "bad" words...   u edited all of those yet coon kike wop and many other extremely offensive terms were left untouched...   racist terms very understandable... but there is a chat filter option in the game for a reason amirite?   your taking complain about language and not even considering to say "hey retards there is a chat filter u don't like some ppls dumb shit vocabs... turn it on.  I.. AND a lot of others think you have taken it way too far... i suggest re thinking what words u choose to edit...  if u turn faldon into a kindergarten game that's who you will get playing.  All the ppl faithful for god knows... decades or more will quit.

Problem with the existing (client side) chat filter is that it's very limited and the list of words is hardcoded IIRC.

If they censored the word "Word" I'd have a bad day after that one. But honestly what's the big deal. though some words such as Damn are needed in the game Whore isn't FAIL.

it's not about trolling or arguing, it's about being free to play how u want... i'm not saying totally obliterate the filters, i'm just saying words like shit and dick are words that everyone uses on a daily basis and being muted for small words like that is senseless.   I don't see how words that have been passed by i don't know how many censorship committees that are being censored in faldon...   i mean... if it can be said on prime time television in the united states... c'mon u have to be joking...

I don't know that it's true that "shit and dick are words that everyone uses on a daily basis".  Seems like you might have a skewed perception.

I'm not saying that the new filter is a good idea, I generally oppose mandatory filtering.  But using the argument "I always say ____, therefore _____ is not a bad word" doesn't really fly.

For starters, shit and damn don't activate unless you are talking quite often.
As for being free to play however you want, *all* chats except broadcast are uncensored.
Broadcast you are making everyone hear what you have to say. You're welcome to use yell or the myriad other chats for that; none of them are filtered.

Id like to put my imput, lets see if anyone can grow a pair man up and not respond with a ludacris comment, why is everyone complaining about Chat..... i came to play a game kill/level/pk, of course tho beings that in faldon PK= 1-2 kills , 200 words after, i mean hell i talk trash non stop, but the chat hasnt effected me or game play in anyway, tbh i think its great cracks me up everytime i do curse, also made me relize how often most of you curse, and how its outta control, reguardless i didnt SMASH anyone or talk " Shit"  or be a private investigator", im just sayin the chat shouldnt be as important as everyones making it out to be, its a game lol, fun< most forget its for fun..... lol the fact of the matter is that most of faldon is a bunch of ignorant hostile and vulgar people and it has to be toned down a bit because the majority of people dont wanna sit there and read a bunch of swears while they attempt to enjoy a game. dont get me wrong i do swear, but i also have to say that if somebody else doesnt or don't want to hear it then they should be allowed to not have to deal with it, and all private chat and yell is unfiltered, although it should be all filtered except guild/whisper/tell  hmm

I feel the same way man thats kinda how most games are anyways wisper/Tell/guild is w.e thats ur freewill of speach, but broadcast is kinda for game talk, like people say ignore Bchat, but...wut if u truely need help faldon isnt the easiest game to jump on and play for newb, and ignoring the ignorance in Bchat is 1 option then if u need help or see a random fact stated in chat that could help your POOP outta luck lol, i just dont see chat being a big issue ill let you no now, shouldnt loose no sleep over it, im not nor is many people going to quit over some lil filter... move on its done and over with
