instead of nerfing drag/elec gear, u cud only allow it to work if its attached to a weapon... so i.e drag/elec boots/robes/hats will be useless but daem/sad sbs and other weapons that have +% dmg will still add xtra dmg

While that would be good enough to reduce the effects IMO, it would leave items with presufs that don't do anything, I'd rather have them do a little bit than nothing at all.
i think it wud be a good idea, and u cud swith chars drag/elec gear with other pre/sufs
that would make too many items useless... what is with all these bad ideas?
Im unsure why anything is getting nerfed.. why not up some of the resistances of the monsters a minute amount.
most monsters resists are already ridiculous to the point of where mages are pretty much left in the dust.

agreed, just add a cap to % dmg
Some of those monsters were not designed to be killed by mages. Maybe adding some high physical resistant monsters just for mages?
rick tried that once, didn't work out too well apparently... i wasn't a mage at the time to test them. there are a lot of monsters that are weak vs some spells, but they're life is outrageous for a mage's dmg output or they ignore the mages pet and make it hard for the to survive. But a high lvl mage can wreck face (even tho some monsters are still untouchable)
yeah i agree that would make lots of items worthless
