Re: ASKING ZER why this is ok

I personally think NO GM's should ever be allowed access to spawn, or change stats, or reset - those are privileges available only to Administrators.  How many of you actually needed an item spawned by a GM to fix a problem?  Yeah.. thats what I thought.

Its like a Moderator on a forum - they have just enough power to be considered 'the boss', and thats what a GM needs to have.  The power to Boot, Ban, Warp, Mute, and possibly a few random things such as changing personal Avatar's into monsters for events, small things like that.

From what I understand, over the last several years - there are always arguments cropping up about this issue - and its always been an issue in the past.. I just stated the easiest way to fix it - and I bet you every GM is going to flame me stating that isn't a way to fix it.  And, ironically, those in power of position that are about to flame me - probably have hooked there buddies up at one point or another.

Hate to break it to you, but the higher lvl gms ARE administrators.

What are you talking about?

That's what Ms are for, GMs edit the maps and upload scripts.

Good god, Read what I posted you nutjob... it only takes an ounce of understanding to be able to analyze what I posted - and you just failed on every bit of it.

The higher level GM's arent administrators - I mean System Administrators such as Zer and Coma. Do you have any understanding of what stages of game design mean?

What are you talking about?

Did you read what I posted - I'm sure you did, as you quoted it.  Oh, I'm sorry, you just didnt comprehend it...  here, let me repeat.

"How many of you actually needed an item spawned by a GM to fix a problem?  Yeah.. thats what I thought."

Now take that structured sentence, and re-read it along with the rest of the post I made.  Perhaps it will make more sense to you then.

No, really?  Well, that doesn't seem to have anything with what I was posting about.  I was outlining a proper structure for what should be changed to make the game less corrupt; if you have an argument about it - do so in a way that actually gets a point across, and doesn't just tack another post onto your count.

I agree that the power to create items etc. should be limited to the GMs that actually need it, and yes, some actually do need it, like to be able to test scripts.
When creating quests they have to be tested, meaning the GM has to be able to set his or her skills/spells to a certain level that's appropriate for the quest. Some quests also require items, in which case it can be VERY handy to be able to just create them.

... I dont think this guy realizes Zer and Wu are the only really higher end GMs left, no Coma; No Spec; no fiend, therefore the only administrators are Zer and Wu
