What has killed Faldon

If I was to venture a logical guess as to why Faldon isn't as big as it once was, it would be the the fact that in the past five years, the f2p MMO market has really boomed and caused an oversaturation in the marketplace.  Years ago, there weren't a lot of choices for f2p games and they were all about on the same level as far as being 2D tiles map-based games.  Now, there's major funding behind the F2P market which has managed to cannibalize a lot of the older F2P games' player base.

Even with the new client, it's going to be difficult to bring players back to the game like in it's heyday around 2000.  Luckily, Faldon manages to get random influxes of players from unexpected places such as BR which keeps the game afloat.  Hopefully, Zer continues to play to this strength and attempts to get the word out to places like South America and the game will grow to at least the level it was in the mid 2000s.  This game is truly an anomaly of the video game world.  I've never heard of another one programmer MMO that has managed to survive for over a decade and, in that regard, this game deserves a ton of respect.

I heard games that are actually good killed Faldon...just kidding  . Hopefully more BRs start playing. And maybe South Africans. Would make for interesting conversation. Just saying. <3

the fucking staff killed faldon, not giving a fuck about its whole player base and only their own personal friends, the chat mods are too personal and shouldnt have power, there personal problems with players cause them to abuse there powers and mute when there not needed, personally i get muted 40% of the time without it being on proper grounds for a mute, the other 60% yeah i do deserve it but i admit when  i do,  ive been trying to make alt characters to play on but the Ms/GMS, give out my ip and say where im from etc,  so its impossible to have player privacy because again, personal reasons being brought over to power abuse, ive actually had a GM tell my IP in broadcast and claim it was a WC after he said " this is his ip + this is what char hes on over three different messages, i keep making alts because my mains get jailed for 2 and 3 weeks at a time for stupid fucking reasons, anything and everything to get me to stop playing i guess, stop being such faggots and open your eyes, these are the reasons faldons player population is getting less and less, maybe more but there brs that dont even speak english in a english based game, but whatever do what you want . i know im not the only one alone on this , peace faggots.

Oh Oh I love this game!  I wasn't there, but simply judging from what I've seen from those involved, let me guess the scenario behind what happened.  Lessee...

Kr0nic did something to be banned, at which point he proceeded to log onto multiple alts in order to cause trouble.  When Spy called him out on it, he denied that it was, in fact, him being a jerk on alt toons. In response, Spy referenced a list of IPs.  This, in turn, led to Kr0nic -who probably would have been perma-banned in any other game for whatever he did- running to the forums and crying in a style reminiscent of many other Faldon players who are the root of most community problems in the game and are the reason that we even need the moderators that they like to complain so much about.
