What was this? Was this like an event or something? Or was is just like "Pit" or "Sewers" type of thing?

Yes it was an event because of Halloween but its over.
We had to collect 50 doomed skulls (the previous year was daemonic bones) each faldon hour on 1 citizenship account.
After that was an idea of teamwork, there were 7 switches that need to be triggered. When all that was done the portal of light was open and we could enter the area of the beast (Eivind's screenshot). It gives many rares out...
