Hmm, I could enable it any time. The problem is it was used with stolen e-mail addresses to steal tons of accounts. If I know it's you we could schedule some time where I could re-enable it temporarily for you to get your account list. As for it being permanently operational, if you have any idea of how to make it work without the obscene amount of account stealing it causes, I'm all ears..

Perhaps you could enable it for those who change their account password on the site? If they can do that it means they already have the email and anyone with their old account details will be locked out as they changed their password.
Once they've done that you could perhaps add a feature to retrieve other accounts with the same email address as the account they changed the password for.

Just don't show the email when you log in only people that know there old email could recover there accounts

yeah for real.. I have an accout thats been sitting .. not loged in for years.. i know its got great fking shit on it.. just dont remember any of the char passwords... nor the email that it is connected to.. (not that that email would even still be active) but I can prove ownership of the acc through payments for ctime.. ext.. and well common theres a fking char named after me on the account too.. lol
