Topic: Suggestion to solve the current imbalanced stat system.
If we look at the average high level warriors (not including the players on who are 700+ because lets face it, they have a lot of stats to waste after they ALL max out strength at 1500) stats usually look something like 1k+ strength between 280 to 420 con and 400+ stamina. Surely this is testament to how unbalanced the stat system really is, strength is overpowered in comparison to other stats. Duels between warriors are usually over in 2-6 seconds. In previous clients for example desert map defense made a real difference and permanently lowered physical hits against a player. Aside from this there was also the risk of missing a player. If a player had high agility (this has been replaced with constitution) he would have a better chance of hitting his opponent and his opponent would have a lesser chance of hitting him. This lead to duels taking much longer and defense and agility played a real part in player vs player duels. Also if we are to look at the effects of con it is almost possible to run permanently with beserk with only 420 constitution. As many warriors choose to stop using this stat at 420, this means players are not using the stat for its main purpose (regeneration.) Instead the stat looses its most useful function at 420. Defense, this is almost completely unused, players no longer value this stat because the benefit of it is useless in comparison to strength. Finally there is the imbalance between intellect and magic. Almost all mage's choose to power all of there stats into magic for excellent regeneration far more so than intellect, suggesting that magic is more powerful than intellect. This leads me to conclude that the Faldon stat system is now imbalanced and the player emphasis on strength due to the stat being overpowered has in fact lead to extremely short duels which have less suspense and as a result they are less fun.
Does anyone else notice these things?
Here is my suggestion to create a more balanced stat system.
Double the effect of both stamina and tactics, increasing the total time of duels.
Change constitution from 70 stats per regeneration point to 50 stats per regeneration points.
Return to the old defense system, allowing it to permanently lower the damage received from both monsters and players.
Double the effect of intellect and magery allowing intellect to play an equally important part in the creation of mage characters as magic. This will also compensate for any imbalance caused between mages and warriors by the doubling of health points.
