Just a suggestion (Page 1 of 2)

Players don't play or quit faldon based on what the Gms are doing, they do it based on the rest of the playerbase.  If the rest of the players are cheating, or being dicks in chat, players who are interested in playing the game the right way aren't going to stick around.

I know I'm not the 1st person to bitch about gms or Ms loggin in JUST to jail people. (they sometimes feel that's their ONLY job). I'm also not the 1st nor will i be the last to quit the game due to Gms not doing their job, or "over-doing" their job. For a game that has a shitty player base, you'd think the Gamemasters would lighten the hell up on those people trying to join the game,, or old players returning to the game.(trying to get back in to this piece of shite game).
     I played  for a few years before i ever used a macro or used pets to camp. after a while i assimilated to the other Romans. For all the hours i've logged on sitting at my keyboard,  directly in front of the monitor, it's just a big let-down that I, and many others who might have to walk away for a bit, and they have to suffer the penalty of not being able to enjoy their C-time or even their P-time due to the fact they're sitting in jail for spending a little time afk tending to real life. 
     I know my words fall on deaf ears. which is why i wont afk camp anymore,(if i ever play the game again).TBH , camping, and the pit is probably the only somewhat fun thing to do in this game once you've raised whatever skills you wanna raise or leveled as many times as you possibly patiently can.  ill just log on to be a dick to anyone i can, since THAt's allowed. Sign me up for Faldon's Plague, cause it doesn't pay to be cool to people. ...and to think i've actually defended these gm's or m's on multiple occasions. i won't make that mistake again either.
    btw, selling my account, ya it isn't the best skilled account or highest leveled chars, but im 1 of the only divine archers(never once afk macro'd that shit) , and i'm including many nice items. mail me in game (Muff Hucker) if you're interested; which no one will be, due to the scamming situation and general lack of interest in paying the game.

When you get more specific I tend to agree more - there's a reason that there is a tiered Gm system, with M and multiple levels of Gm.

I will say that even with this system I still think Gm responsibilities include monitoring the players, but the higher they progress in the Gm ranks the smaller the percent of their responsibility it should be.  But if there is only one active staff, and he happens to be a Gm, making sure people aren't cheating has priority of mapmaking or scripting.

With that in mind, here's another way to look at it:  The less time you spend macroing or otherwise breaking the ToS, the more free time the Gms will have to work on new content.

is it true you haven't been around much in the last year or so?  if you have been you might know more about other people being aggravated by the same things i'm talkin about. i'm not gonna name drop but no i'm not the only 1 who feels this way.

so with that, if i'm still considered to be the 1st person to bitch,, then i guess that makes me an innovative wave-maker possibly?
   
good idea about adding spaces to the paragraphs, it does help with having to read it, lol

    i like to multitask whenever possible. so i might log in and still have other things to accomplish, i.e doin shit around the house, workin on stuff on 1 of my other pcs, or even raising skills while i camp, if you don't multitask, then you're not using you're time as wisely as you could~! lol,, just sayin...

    it's just funny people can spend hours and hours logged in, sittin at the pc, and the minute you walk away some gm logs in, does their macro checks and if u don't reply they jail you( i know it isn't always their fault, most players generally tried to get away with anything they could in the past.) but it isn't always true.
     
      maybe they should just kill you,, then see how long it takes for you to reply, respawn or whatever,,, THEN if its just far too long of a time span, consider booting. jailing is pretty harsh, and it makes people less interested, as they can't do what they want with the character they like to play. it becomes wasted or unusable time for USD spent on this game.

  i used to walk back to town, or away from the spawns, but anymore it's just too counterproductive and time consuming to be walkin back and forth every time u have to walk away from the pc. the drop rates are so erratic you could spend 5 minutes or 5 months trying to get 1 item. sorta fun, but mostly not. why shouldn't we be able to walk away for a bit without having to interrupt our goals or tasks

    all i'm sayin is:

    is it a time for a change? probably.  lighten up and let people play the game, it will be better for everyone (including zer) in the long run. they put a stop to the wpe usage ( which let you cheat at everything), so that's a start at one end of the problem.

    is there something the gm's can do to make the game more enjoyable? obviously yes
but, without zer's input and attendance ,  the creative and constructive things are always at a standstill

i also blame ADD. i don't have it,, but it still makes a good scapegoat

I haven't been around for quite a while, so I'm sure I have missed a lot of it.

Block 2:
I mis-typed my sentence, but corrected it, guess I should have worded it better lol.  It was meant to read "you are FAR FROM the first to bitch (in essence meaning MANY others have before you).

Block 3:
I presented the idea of killing the "afk" player a while back as well.  Another idea would be to use an auto-logout feature after a set period of no movement... And yeah, this "argument" has become boring, and somewhat infuriating lol

Yeah, either ban them all, or add in a permanent ignore feature so you don't 'unignore' a player once you or they log off.

I bet you I could out harrass any 'br' that tries to harrass me...

moderators/gm's do what theyre told, they log on jail people,, and leave...

Doing what you're told doesnt mean doing what you do is right or cool, it fucks over people who pay $$$ and actually spend their unused time in this game. It's a huge turn-off.

How many people have quit because they couldn't compete with the half of the player base who had a competitive advantage as a result of cheating?  I'd wager that it's more than the number of people who have quit because they got jailed for cheating.
