Topic: Regarding halloween event/ All events for now on.

The little games you guys like to play killing monsters over and over for countless hours is stupid. personally, i have a JOB and GIRLFRIEND, which ties into my REAL LIFE.
I have Real Life Responibilities, Duties if you will, that can not be ignored just to play faildon.
What happened to the original idea of click npc get said random item on your account?
It really upsets me knowing that i can waste my hour and only get a lousy couple hundred lumber.
When making events in the future, take into consideration those of us who cannot sit for numerous mind melting hours to waste time on lumber and other misc materials we will never use .

But in short, im going to retire from faildon, you guys want me to buy C so i can waste too much time for nothing but a little gay item that nobody will buy because there are no players to do so.. goodluck with your event guys.
and everything else you decide to do with your faldon life? lol.

Sincerely, some dude that wasted his money on a fail game.

I'm not even sure what to make of your rant, dude.

You're angry that a Gm designed and ran a halloween themed event?  And you're saying that there should just be an NPC that gives you free items?

I guess I don't really understand what motivates you to play in the first place...

im not angry. and there is no motivation to play the game, regarding the npc, i heard that it was going to be an npc u can click on each C account and recieve one random item per acc, what si wrong with that? no games run events for days to earn items like this, they give you experience boosts, money etc, i stayed up for 2 whole nights doing the event to get nothing, and then people buy C do it once and get a 1m item , i just think that i spent more time then alot of the other players doing the event to get nothing and its not right

That's just not true in any way.  Find me another example of a game whose holiday celebrations involve just giving a random item to each account and we'll talk, but I get the feeling you're going to have a hard time finding one.

Most MMOs will run either persistent events like this one, or live events.  In either case, the point of the event is to give the player something new and interesting to DO to break from the monotony of grinding - it's not even about the items.

The most successful events that I ran as a GM either didn't have items at all, or had items that were unique but not useful other than acting as a trophy.

Since the beginning of time runescape dropped rare random items all over the ground. Prime example right there... i had to think so hard ;/
League of legends gives experience boosters.
worldofwarcraft holds events, but all players get the same amount of rewards.

the game is not balanced all accounts should have gotten one item each, not some players with 3 and others with none. how does this make the game fun for the players that received  nothing, because i know im not the only one that didnt do well in the event.
the events should be made so all players can get the same amount of profit from the events, myself ive done it more then alot of the players and came up empty handed, thats why i dont agree with the way the events are run.

Have you actually played a WoW holiday event.  They are more of a pain in butt to get items out of them then this game.  You would have to spend countless times in dungeons to get anything from the event or countless hours doing small boring tasks and secondly most the items that WoW does give out are either cosmetic or useless outside the event or become outdated with in only a few weeks.

the value of the item has nothing to do with this argument subzero, and yes, i have played for holiday events, many of them, and you can get your drops within 2 or 3 runs with ease, i spent an easy 30-40 hours on this event over 3 days for nothing.

Re: Regarding halloween event/ All events for now on.

i agree with ryze, the balance of items distributed is very unfair in events like this. But on the same end there was an event... i made out like a bandit and still have complaints about the event as usual but the event was still there. I myself also played wow and again agree with ryze, it's easy as shit to get items in those events. At the same time, wow has achievements on top of those monotonous quests that add up to great items... and everyone has equal chance to get something out of them and yes all the items straight from the event suck... but if u keep at it in the long run u get a bad ass mount. Now here u can spend all the time the event was open possible and still get little worth your time. And at the same time being on for so long and seeing someone just log in who gets something on one of the few tries they've completed. It's not the event that's the problem is the choice in items. There are never common items added to events cause everyone bitches about them not thinking that item takes hours to get camping.  In my opinion next time put more common less valuable items with higher chances with the really high rare items a very minimal chance.
