Topic: Auto-Ignore and a Simple Ignore Script

For those of you that have keytext, you can simply run a small, script (not really worth even calling it that)

i Chris10{enter]
i Chris.{enter}
i Equal{enter}
i Fort Minor{enter}

I pop this into Keytext, assign it a hotkey and then when I see any of them log, hit the hotkey. Instantly ignored. If any of you have anymore of their alias, I would be more than happy to add them to this list.

The second thing I wanted to talk about was the possibility of making an Auto-Ignore program. All it would do is read the "has come online" packets and whenever an undesirable logs on, it would send an ignore packet. Is this something that would be allowed?

If Chris. would log first and you run that script and then a few minutes later Fort Minor logs and you run it again, wouldn't that un-ignore Chris. =p?

As for your last question, no, that wouldn't be allowed but I can tell you that if it's done properly noone will be able to tell that you're using it.

Ideally Zer would just make the server save your ignore preferences, but yeah...

Re: Auto-Ignore and a Simple Ignore Script

I didn't realise that, that un-ignored people.

The script option was a quick fix for whenever they were annoying me, as it always seems to a small collective of people with their anti-social behaviour. If Zer could do that, it would be ideal as we really are working with less-than-perfect options.

The packet program was just an idea for something more permanent than what I have access to at the moment.
