*sniffs* Angeldust missed his spelling bee contest last week. You are getting sloppy.

I've identified a grammatical error; however, not a spelling mistake.

Angeldust,
Awww. You are correct.
Find it so funny when angeldust goes way off topic just to try act cool

I find it funny that you think off-topic is indicative of 'being cool'. Not sure where your reference comes from, but they're many other words to describe my posts; there is no acting cool. I wouldn't except your comprehension irregardless of the content of my posts anyway. Continue as if you were normal.
Angeldust,
He didn't say it was cool, he said you try to act cool. I happen to agree with his assessment - that you seem to get a kick out of showing off (what you believe to be) your verbal prowess. As a result, you spend a lot of energy derailing threads just so you can make jabs at the English language aptitude of other users.
You're right that there are a lot of additional ways to describe your posts, though. I'd probably go with "a 7 year old with ADD and a thesaurus".
Also, the word is "regardless", bro. Continue as if you were normal.

My point, MumbleNutts, was that my off-topic posts are in no way an 'act' of coolness. They are many things, other than an attempt at being 'cool'. I could describe them as: idiotic, childish, trolling, entertaining, boredom induced, aggravating, ect. More simply, I found it comical there was any reference in general that off topic posts would indicate someone trying to 'act cool'. Verbal prowess has nothing to do with anything, and neither does instinctively using at least a half-wit attempt at decent grammar. No extra energy is spent derailing any posts, or writing proper English. You'll surely notice your own posts are efficiently correct, are you showing off? Negative! More likely is that you draft documentations or communications on an almost daily basis; higher education than most of the population surely helps I would assume.
That said, irregardless is definitely a source of conflict since the early 1900's; however, remains defined as a legitimate word in the English language.

Next, you'll be debating the word "ain't". It may be non-standard, but is defined. Irregardless is not highlighted as an incorrect spelling or grammatical error by spell-checkers. I can agree "irregardless" should not of been the choice word; however, only disputably incorrect as it remains defined.
Angeldust,
Non-standard essentially means "people use this word, but they are in error by doing so".
Non-standard essentially means "people use this word, but they are in error by doing so".
Essentially? Not quite. Lets not forget, language itself is a mere creation of our own intent to communicate. The fact remains that it is defined; however perceived improper. The word "ain't" highlights perfectly this aspect of language creation. Ain't as a word had no definition and was considered completely unacceptable and yet, due to the widespread usage of the word, it was added to the dictionary. What makes a word correct or not 'in error' as you say? Simply, acceptable definition and documentation of the word, we create our words by defining them. Irregardless is defined, and if you search "Irregardless definition" in Google you'll receive the pronunciation and the adjective. To drive home the point of this, the word "Muggle" is now in the dictionary along with "Gaydar" and many other nuisances. Try searching their definition.
Angeldust,
I've decided that this argument is no longer relevant to my interests.

I love the arguments between Angeldust and the rest of the forum on grammar and spelling. It was rather odd that Mumblee started this post just to get Angeldust stirred up tho. And correcting me is almost pointless.....cause I won't care and will continue to cut words to save myself from the dreadful carpel tunnel.
YEAH!! 100th post. ^^^^ I demand my title be changed from "member" to something a bit more fulfilling...perhaps "stoner" or even "master" either of those would be appreciated. Thank you.
