Topic: New Client Charecter Title Text (Feedback)

First off, this is not intended to degrade or not show respect to the work Zer has been doing to the server. However, there are some things that there has been feedback and talked about. I would like to have made a poll, but it does not seem the permissions are allowed.

How do you like the character text in the new client when you hover over a person with the mouse? Do you prefer something else?
- The new client character text is fine the way it is?
- The old client character text was better?
- The new client character text font is hard to read?
- The new client character text font is not difficult to read?
- Something else?

Feel free to elaborate on what you think about the text.

I'm kinda on the same page about it being hard to read.  It would be pretty cool if only capital letters were in that font.  Albion has kind of the same effect with their titles.

It seems that consensus is that it's pretty hard to read. I think it looks neat, but there are several other open source Old English fonts to choose from:

The old one I don't remember exactly but it was a little more legible.

It looks cool, but isn't really practical IMO for every day use.
I think BlackChancery on the font website looks like a great in between.

Just some examples. You can change the Font yourself in the Faldon Folder.

Go to GUI. Open and Edit the Fonts file.

Select a font you want on the internet; download it and copy the .tff file in /Gui/Art/Fonts/DejaVu

In the Fonts file; you change ''Value'' from the string ''Medieval''.

It would look like this:

<String Key="Medieval"  Value="Gui/Art/Fonts/DejaVu/fontname.ttf"/>

Save. Open Faldon.

Note: If you crash when you hover over your name in game you did something wrong.
Note 2: Make a copy of the original just in case.
