Wasd movement, and mappable keys to control other things. M for map, I for inventory and that sort of stuff. Enter toggles chat. This is fairly standard now on most any PC game it's just more intuitive. One question would be, what picks up items? Because that's always been enter.

Default of WSAD and arrow keys, with the ability to remap anything to anything would be nice. It's not the most glamorous feature to write but it's great for accessibility. Also, if mapping are done in a way that allow gamepad, that would be amazing.

Forward Slash "/" used to go directly to typing in chat in old client. It would be great to bring that back.
Side note:
A lot of commands are missing that would be nice to have back, I am not sure if this was ever mentioned.

~fps - Told you your current FPS
reputation - told you your current reputation points, good or bad.
My mind is blanking on the rest at the moment.

its as simple as locking the chat box until you press enter if you have wasd enabled.
