Topic: The Trash Heap Official Election Celebration Thread

12:30 PM Listening to Rush as he slams the Liberals for the mass amount of voter fraud they have been doing(its Rush... So I took it with a grain of salt wink )
1:45 PM I get home and Turn on Fox News...(I thought they had the best coverage in 2000 and once again the best in 2004).
2:00 PM Brit Hume talks about Exit Polls looking to be in John Kerry’s favor and had an early lead in Florida and Ohio.
5:00 PM I went to my polling precinct with Mike(Link007)
5:15 PM After a small wait I get into my booth with my ballot...(Sadly a punch ballot)... I voted Yes on Prop #1(look it up if you don't know what it was about). I Voted for Voinavich, and to my Amazement Nader WAS on my Ballot but had Disqualified by his name! However I voted for George W. Bush. I voted no on all the Tax Levys except one that funds a Mental Retardation Institution.(I had an Uncle who was Mentally Handicapped, this influenced my decision.)
5:20 PM I insert my Ballot into the Ballot Box

Time Passes

11:00 PM Bush and Kerry kept to the 2000 states, while the GOP slaughtered the Democrats in the Senate Races
11:30 PM Florida was called Bush with out any argument
12:00 AM Fox News Calls Ohio and for 20 minutes remained the ONLY station to call it
12:20 AM Other stations began to call it, CBS and CNN remained stubborn
1:05 AM Fox News puts Alaska as a Red State… Bush is now winning with 269 EV

I went to bed after that

Now as it stands most stations have Bush with 274 Electoral Votes, and 51% of the Popular vote… In fact… Bush has the largest amount of Popular Votes EVER in election History(not 100% positive but that’s what they were stating) and MANY more votes to come in!

Celebrate with me this AMAZING Victory smile

Liberals are invited to bash Bush, and in some cases Nader if they feel like he “stole” the election… Your left wing conspiracies that claims Bush “stole” the election.

God Bless you all, and God Bless the Mighty American Voter.

Sorry, I'm all politic'd out. I can't debate any more.

Re: The Trash Heap Official Election Celebration Thread

I am neither happy, nor upset about this election.
First, Kerry lost, Bush won both the electoral and
popular vote. People voted him in, most people
should be happy. Second, I waved my right to
vote. I thought about how I would be wasting my
time. Everytime I heard Kerry speak, he told me
he had a plan, yet never told me what it was. I
can't vote for that. Bush, has been our president
for four years. Our economy is worse than ever
before. But, he has kept his promises, from what
I can tell. Do not mistake that with me saying he
has never lied however. I have not been TOO
politically active.. So I could be mistaken, but like
I said, from what I can tell. Neither one of them
could have won, and upset me by it. I'll save
my emotional distress for when something bad
happens.

Re: The Trash Heap Official Election Celebration Thread

The results of the election were terrible, in many respects.
I'm sure Osama Bin Laden will be pleased that he can continue using Bush's international policies against him though.

Re: The Trash Heap Official Election Celebration Thread

Obviously more people like him than those that hate him if he was voted back in.  Whats with all you haters? big_smile  You all act like he's some moron, and think about this, if Kerry was voted in, he would screw things up.  Bilateral discussions with Korea? WTF is he thinking?  Obviously we would've been doing this long ago if it were to work.  Also, Kerry makes an ass of himself by saying we have no allies.  I wonder how the British, the Polish, and every other ally we have feel about this?  If he were to be voted in, I think we truly wouldn't have any allies.  I am glad that Bush was re-elected.  I don't want this war coming to the U.S.  I mean Kerry wants/wanted to withdraw from Iraq, and what he doesn't realize is that those who we are there to destroy don't want us out of their country, they want us dead, this is pretty obvious, and I don't know how you could miss that.  Let me ask you this, Why else would they attack us?  Think about it people. smile

Really? Because "obviously" you're wrong. Plenty of people voted for Bush that dislike the man, both on character and policy. The same can be said about a portion of Kerry-voters. There are plenty of people that absolutely hated George Bush, but voted for him because they thought he makes a better President. I know some. Both candidates running in the race had less then 50% of America actually "on their side", I'm sure. But what does this have to do with anything at all?

Whats with all you haters?  You all act like he's some moron, and think about this, if Kerry was voted in, he would screw things up.

I thought about it. You make a really great point!

Bilateral discussions with Korea? WTF is he thinking? Obviously we would've been doing this long ago if it were to work.

And how the fuck should you, or our President know? Gave it a try did you? Tell me this, how could it hurt?

Also, Kerry makes an ass of himself by saying we have no allies. I wonder how the British, the Polish, and every other ally we have feel about this?

Well, about half of Britian would have agreed, had you not made that up, and Kerry actually said that.

If he were to be voted in, I think we truly wouldn't have any allies.

How naive can a person be? You can raise your freedom flag all you want, and go on pretending that we're the Earth's Goldon Boy of a country, but you would be wrong. Understand that. We are not "liked", and from what most of you right-wingers shout, you don't much care. Fine. But most of the World was backing John Kerry, and you think he would have been elected in and everyone would have hated us more? Please.

I am glad that Bush was re-elected.

Good. When you get sick because every enviromental policy created by the evil left meant to protect your health has been abolished, deal with it. When you get old and poor and have no social security, deal with it. When your son goes to war and dies, deal with it, because it certainly was a "last resort". When your girlfriend doesn't know anything about birth control because it wasn't taught to her in school- deal with it, because you certainly won't be able to take an alternative once she's pregnant. Oh, too bad, you just lost your job to a fellow in India- deal with it. You wanted it this way.

I don't want this war coming to the U.S. I mean Kerry wants/wanted to withdraw from Iraq,

Who in their right-mind wouldn't want to bring the troops home? Surely that's what you meant, because Kerry never said he wanted to withdrawl right away- just after the job had been complete. God, what a son of a bitch he is!

and what he doesn't realize is that those who we are there to destroy don't want us out of their country, they want us dead, this is pretty obvious, and I don't know how you could miss that.

They want us dead because we are in their country, you silly fuck. Are you suggesting that if our troops were to leave Iraq without killing every man with a gun strapped to his back, then they would follow us here? You're kidding! It's not only impossible to do that, but goofy flawed logic.

Let me ask you this, Why else would they attack us? Think about it people.

Lord help me. You're right! Oh my god, how could I have been missing this. No wonder those Iraqis attacked us! This whole time I had been thinking it was that other guy, from that other country. Silly me! Good thing we stopped dealing with him, we may have gone after the wrong guy!

Oh, I'm so embarassed for having said all this.

Re: The Trash Heap Official Election Celebration Thread

By the way, I believe this is a fine example of what I find to be a major problem with people in general (but mainly the right- which I'll elaborate on later)

I voted no on all the Tax Levys except one that funds a Mental Retardation Institution.(I had an Uncle who was Mentally Handicapped, this influenced my decision.)

Can anyone guess why?

(Sorry to pick on you, Firebabe).

Re: The Trash Heap Official Election Celebration Thread

It is high time I put something intelligent here.

"Not so fast," I interjected, "Let's go back to Fireborn's visit. Gretchen told me his story. It was really gruesome--a big hole in your throat, ants cutting up your face, and falling down the elevator shaft. What really happened?"
