Topic: Linux or Solaris?

Well, just bought a new PC and going to turn this one into a Linux or Solaris one. Anyone have experience of neither? And if Linux, wich "version" ?

Current computer:
ASUS P4P800
Intel P4 3.06 ghz HT
2.5 gb ram.
400 gb Seagate Barracuda S-ATA.
Geforce FX 5900 Ultra

New computer:
MSI K8N Diamond
AMD A64 x2 +4400
2 gb ram
500 gb Seagate Barracuda S-ATA
Geforce GT 6800 Ultra 256 mb

I've used Slack a lot recently... I'm on it right now as a matter of fact.  I find it to be a pretty good distro.  It's slightly unfriendly to the complete newbie, but I think that's a good thing and forces you to learn how to do stuff.

Well if you have experience with neither then you havent used "either" of them so nobody could have any experience with them.
