Topic: I played faldon 1st time.....

Ok this game is total crap and it sucks ass that was my thoughts when i was done playing my 10min playing session. Its very hard to learn thousands of hotkeys and no idea how to even use pickpocket. And the way my character was dressed when i first time spawned (i didnt know to cry or to laugh) and there were some kind of stupid flies flying all around me and some other players. The way the character walks looks ridicilous it walks like some fucking ice man.

THIS GAME IS RETARED!!! ITS FROM 80's!!!! and btw only 1 server with 55 players online!! So ratared.... i wont play ever again but thats my opinion....

even runescape kicks hell out of this bullshit!

Only 1 good thing in this game is: no sencoring! i can call ppl dogfuckers etc.! ,,/

Wow you have the intelligence to find the forum..sign up and post a question.

But not to read the getting started guide...or to ask the players for some information.

I would have acecpted your entire rant until you went on to compare it to Runescape...that is going too far...lets not say things we cannot take back.

Maybe elaborate on some of your problems...Why was the way your character was dressed a problem?

There are umm...15 keys in total used for faldon...everything else is mouse orientated. your 1000's of hotkey's is a lil out there.

You complaining that in 10 minutes...you couldn't learn how to use pickpocket :!:

Also Sorry to ruin your only good thing...but their is some moderation in the chat so you got lucky... wink

Overall to base your entire argument on 10 minutes of play time.... roll ....I dont know wether to laugh or cry.

I'm opening up a shop that sells 13" rulers just so Fireborn stops complaining.

You need more than a goldfishes attention span and a caffine fueled paranoia level to hang around in the game long enough to appreciate it.

I took about 3 weeks starting from scratch to get a hang of the game and about a year to get a charcter that was good enough to really have fun.

All without running around going "plz plz plz help me I a noob can I have 10gps plz plz plz" even once.....

Don't expect to get a handout from anyone and learn from reading the chat screens and asking people politely if you need help....

.....in fact don't bother saying anything at all in the first week of playing because you'll almost certainly say something stupid.....

Just watch, explore and learn.


You're not going to get any amazingly cool weapons or spells in a few minutes or for that matter a few weeks..... you have to be patient (or spend a load of £/$/€ to buy from existing players).

Ps. Just so you know you CANT raise pickpocket as a noob because you have a protective aura around you (sparkly swirls round your character) which stop everyone else killing/robbing/raping you and also stop you attempting to do the same to them....

Ok i dont expect getting everyghing directly but how can i play even for a week 'cause walking controls suck so much??? Mouse click and move works badly and using arrow keys aint good thing....i dont like it..

Ok i give the game 1 change to get me like it. i ask politely: how can i use the 1st spell in game?? i click it and hit it to rat but nothing happens? and when does that aura go away???

once i tryid asking something and they just called me a n00b... sad  smile

Personally, Faldon has some of the best controls out of ANY online RPG, incredibly simple and they work very well for the style of the game.

When I read this I just about Nunchucked you... You don’t even realize.

Wow you played a shitty online game.. whats new.. Now think about how many people it took to make this game.. 1.
2 if you include Coma for the art...

Then you have a few GMs sprinkled here and there.

Look at all these other online games which has teams and teams of programmers and artists.. You should infact be impressed instead of making yourself look

Right, the only spell you start off with is Holy Aura - has a blueish icon

To use it right click the spell icon then right click yourself or someone else.

What it does is put up a protective 'aura' around you to stop people from attacking or accidentally damaging you with spells or weapons.

At level 1 you dont need to bother about it because youre given a permanent Holy Aura until level 15 which keeps you safe in your first few levels

But at and above level 15 the holy aura spell wears off after a few minutes and other people without an aura on can attack and kill you (or you could do the same to them)


You also have to learn a spell even after its in your inventory. As you cast Holy Aura it raises a magic skill called Thaumatology and as it raises it increases your chances of casting the spell successfully. If you fail to cast the spell you get a *fizzle* appearing above you. This still uses mana though and you still have to wait for your mana to rechange before trying to cast it again.

The best thing to do as a new player is to talk to the npc with the big axe close to where you spawn (left click) then follow his mini-quest to get a hunting knife which you can then equip to fight things better than with hands.

Okay, first of all, I don't believe you are a noob. How would you know
the count of servers? Also, 1 server is plenty for this game to handle
55 players. Many things run on one server box. Thousands of hotkeys?
I know of VERY few, and I am a GM which means I have more. You
walk around, make sure to have numlock pressed if on what seems
Win2000 or higher. To attack things, click, and hold. Use control if you
would rather. To cast a spell, right click it, right click the target. If you
see "Fizzle" then you failed to cast, keep trying it will get better in
time. The controls are much like that of Diablo, only, we get the option
of using the keyboard. All skills are used the same as spells, right click
and again right click to use. If you don't like the art, go pay for a game.
Or better yet, go buy an expensive game like EQ. This game has good
enough art so that we can tell what's going on, we don't need massively
updated art.

I think he was mocking the fact that Faldon only has One Server with 55 people on.

Anyone can tell it only has one server because there is no option to choose a 2nd server tongue

Also lucky he logged in a good time cause 55 people is a stretch at most  big_smile

I also much like the faldon art and movement style.

I hate these new games such as WoW and Guild Wars where you click a monster and the game attacks for you....

Maybe Faldon is 80's style....But WHO doesn't like 80s Style.... lol

Multiple servers are not necessarily going to let you pick. Those are
realms, which could actually be run on just one server.
