Re: Music!!
Some 'indie rock fan' at school gave me a CD with some songs on it. Wasn't a good experience.

Oh, I didn't realize you we're on expert on literally all bands signed to non-major labels when I made my last post. Must have been quite the mix CD!
Grayson, I think we need to start playing some Belle & Sebastian..
Isn't that the "emo cut yourself life is horrible" music?
Exact opposite oddly enough...
Just as bad as emo. If for some reason you have the urge to listen to some indie rock, don't bother, Nick.

So I have to be an expert on every single indie rock band to have an opinion on the genre? Weird.
Yeah, since "indie" music is the same as "music of non-major labels." I thought I made that clear.
There is sad, whiny indie music, and alt-country sounding indie music, and angry gritty indie music, and bright poppy indie music, and fuzz folk indie music, and indie music that sounds like The Beatles, and indie music that sounds like metal. The common thread is that they are signed to independent labels. There is literally an indie band for every genre of music you can come up with. So to make some blanket statement like "indie rock is unbearable" is ultimately like saying "rock is unbearable." Which very well may be your opinion.
But no one gives a shit.

I'm not talking about other indie music, just indie rock. If you want to talk about all music on independant labels then I'm sure most of the bands I listen to are 'indie'.

I think it is quite unusual that a whole new genre would be created for bands that most have little in common, except the fact that they are all on independent record labels.

I honestly don't know what point/argument you're trying to make, XTTZ. So please rephrase that so I can properly retort.

I'm not sure myself LoL. I can't be fucked arguing; I don't know shit about indie rock except that the songs I heard from the genre were not to my liking.
