To be fair, if you watch the Georgetown clip it was clearly one of the Hoyas who started the brawl.  He gets fouled going for a lose ball and comes up swinging.

That said, it was pretty classless of the Chinese team and also of the crowd who started throwing things as the Hoyas left the court.  Also, it sounds like the refs weren't really calling a fair game (57 free throws for the Chinese team to 13 for Georgetown).

No, a few college teams each year take "goodwill" trips overseas to play foreign teams.
