Revive Faldon without ZER, enough.

Id definitely give this a try but I dont Think I'm good enough. This is why I brought up so that we can all contribute with all that we have and support those who might be able to build this up. Hell, people telling their friends about the game would be good enough at that Point.

Been thinking about the way people are working their way up for the titles in Faldon through Macros. It's possible to eliminate macros if the game was web based and implement some nice way of interacting with the game in a relaxed way where you need to be near the computer to be able to progress with your skills.

A lobby/pvp area where people can gather and turn based combat (which Ive seen in Rubies of Eventide) played that game for 5+ years.

Another thing that is cool is that you could play it on your phone/table while chilling on the coach just like with games like Hearthstone.

Ive seen some cheap korean web based games that have closed that managed to bring a really nice interface and combat system. Ive tried Dragons Call for example for a couple of years ago Before they ruined it. Great combat system, chat with people and pretty good dungeon system with loot and Points where you could buy gear from npcs depending on the dungeons/raids you managed to complete. Doesn't have to be the traditional raid/Points gear system like in WoW of course. We do want to keep faldon the way it is.

Anyhow, if there is any "programmer" out there playing Faldon let us know, we can come up with something. I have played similar games so I do have a couple of ideas and as I said Before. Why pay Zer when people can pay the programmer for his time and we could even get some Money over for advertisement.

As I wrote, Its an idea that is not so far away from reality. Sure it does take time and effort but as I said, I don't see any point supporting Zer and his server hidden in his closet which he passes by everytime he needs underwear. Put that Money on something that actually makes a difference. Let us give you the programmers that Money so that you can make a basic game that can be played with a webbrowser and I promise you that everybody will stick around playing on their Ipad,phone,pc and gladly giving you that Money to develop further and maintain.

As I mentioned ladder slasher on d2jsp, how much time/effort does a game like that require? The game has;

1. A basic auction house for players to trade after finding items in dungeons.
2. Able to do dungeons in party of 5
3. Leveling system with stats, the basic usual way of progression

There are more things in that game but I find these some of the most important. Now there is no chat in that game, you cant chat with your party when you are in dungeons which is a big minus. Add that and a lobby where you can stick around and chat and you got me and probably 10+ players in there.

How did Habbo Hotel get so famous? I remember I even played that game as a kid just because you could chat and decorate your house which was more than enough for kids in school where they got access to a pc every break or so.

I really wish that Zer would either put out Faldon as open source or at least sell the code.  There's no reason for this game to be dead when all it needs is someone to update the code and rebalance the game.  This game came out at the same time as Tibia and Tibia has tens of thousands of players.  This game has a much better foundation than Tibia ever had.  It has better graphics, a more robust skill system, and potential to make money if it was put in the right hands.

In my humble opinion, if you rebalanced the leveling, tweaked the skill system so that it mattered, limit skill points so people would actually have to make real character builds, add the ability to have more items and have the items have effects that matter beyond cosmetic, add new tilesets, make it so that all the spells are useful and add new ones, add more monsters, tweak the quest system, and update the game so there isn't a limit to the number of maps, you could have a successful game on your hands.

If Zer handed the code off to a real team, they could make a ton of profit through subs, name changes, stat resets, and micro transactions.

The idea behind Faldon is great...A persistant world that's Ultima Online meets Diablo.  It just needs coders, artists, and game designers to take it over.
