Topic: Casting a Spell After Setting a Movement Path with the Mouse
I like how we are now able to move around with the arrow keys while casting - now a caster doesn't have to choose between being able to move and casting. However, when a player clicks a location to move to and then casts any spell of their choosing, the movement gets canceled by the casting and your character stops in its tracks.
In the old client it would follow to the location you clicked to.
I'm aware there's the alternative of using the arrow keys arrow keys, but in this section of the keyboard it is impossible to use the hotkeys with your left hand while having your right on the mouse. This makes for far slower spell selection because one would have to manually select them using the mouse cursor rather than instantly select them using hotkeys. Using the hotkeys you could cast 4 different spells in a second, using the cursor, maybe 2 per second if you're fast - first by moving the cursor to the spell, selecting it, and then dragging the cursor to your target each and every time to aim it or to self cast on yourself. (can't hit the space bar to self cast if you're using the arrow keys)
What I would like to see is being able to set a path that the character will move to without spell casting canceling that movement, that way I can focus my cursor on my target after setting my path to travel to while selecting whatever spell combination I would like to use using my left hand to access the shift key to run and 1-8 hotkeys. The only way to move with the cursor while casting is holding the button down, but by doing this you cannot aim behind your character or to the sides, only in front.
